Touchless and Windows 7 Multi Touch

Hello,

Is it possible to hook into any of the Windows 7 multi touch gestures/etc with the Touchless SDK?

Thank you!

Hi,

There was talk about this sometime ago in the MultiTouch Vista project. http://multitouchvista.codeplex.com/

Their project includes plugin architecture for touch input providers so possibly one could implement one using Touchless SDK.

On the other hand there is a Windows 7 driver to map these input providers to work in Windows 7.
I wrote about seting up this driver on my blog: http://geekswithblogs.net/kobush/archive/2009/03/10/129993.aspx

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Yesterday I started with Toucless and MultiTouch Vista and I managed to create a Touchless-plugin for MultiTouch Vista. Too bad my camera is very slow, so it wasn't very usable, but I will go out to get a better cam.
There's also a lot more work to do on the plugin, because now it's actually just the two programs tied together: you have to create markers with the Touchless Demo, save them and MultiTouch Vista opens them to use.

But I was able to move my mouse in Windows 7 without touching anything, so it's a start!

Kind regards,

I am really interested in this idea, I could see it turning any display into interactive multi-touch. Maybe an even better program could send TUIO messages and objects.

Hey Amselfort, Could you share your Touchless InputProvider for Multi-Touch Vista? Please send the code to me or upload a patch and let me know. Thanks, - Mike
